TonePros® Tune O Matic Style Bridges

The ABR® or Tune-O-Matic®  (a.k.a. TOM® ) bridge has received some beneficial upgrading. Many common problems associated with the ABR®  bridge have been rectified by TonePros® improvement and redesign.

Locking Studs

Locking Tailpiece Studs The locking studs made by TonePros®  effectively "clamp down" on the tailpiece, stabilizing it and providing solid coupling to the body. As seen in the picture above, once the large flat head screw is tightened against the tailpiece it holds it in place. Now, even with strings removed, the tailpiece remains mounted to the body.

Locking Bridges

Lockable Bridges Another common problem when dealing with ABR®  bridges is inadvertently readjusting the bridges height by spinning a thumbwheel by accident. This is particularly easy to do once the strings are removed. As seen in the above photo, 2 Allen head screws tighten against the bridges thumbwheel post to lock the bridge in position. Even with the thumbwheels screwed down the bridge holds it's position. What's more it further reinforces our desire to provide good coupling and no rattles.

Secure Bridge Saddles And of course let's not forget the retaining wire that holds the saddles and screws. Though the TonePros®  bridge is equipped with a retaining wire it's purpose is to duplicate the look of an authentic ABR®  bridge. Tiny C-Clips now serve to hold each individual saddle firmly in place even with strings and wire removed.

Another great feature of the TonePro's saddle and Locking Studs is the fact that no modifications are necessary to most instruments equipped with a genuine Gibson® ABR® bridge. It is merely a parts swap out. Put your original bridge and tailpiece studs somewhere for safe keeping and you can return the instrument to original condition should you desire.
