Guild D-35 Cosmetic Repair
This one simply suffered from a bit of, ah.....creativity??
A drawing was etched into the top of this Guild which cut deep enough to scar the top. After removing the top finish from the area, I used steam to swell as much of the crushed (and cut) top fibers as possible. The cuts thru the finish and into the top had accumulated dirt which stained the wood as well. I did my best to remove or reverse as much of the damage as possible.

A Word About Refinishing Instruments
Although you are sure to see examples of my refinishing work I'm sorry to say that I no longer offer any refinishing. I've been spraying lacquer since the 80's when I worked at a body shop and all these years of exposure have taken their toll. Contact with lacquer creates some pretty bad reactions and for my health's sake I have ceased to spray.
