Rabbits Inside Your House?
Sadie, Scoobie and Bailey are what we call "House Rabbits". House rabbits live inside
our home and enjoy the daily interaction, security and care that one would commonly give a
puppy or kitten.
The wonderful thing about rabbits is they can be trained to use a
litter pan, enjoy
playing with toys, can be very
affectionate, are normally quite inquisitive and of course....they are
just so incredibly cute!
I have found that most non-bunny people envision
rabbits as cute, but nervous, balls of fur sitting in the corner of a
cage. That has never been my experience.
A Little About My Bunny Rabbits....
Sadie

Sable Point Holland Lop Buck
Sadie (born in June of 2000) is a very affectionate, loveable
and interactive bunny.
Though he's very friendly the only time he sits in my lap is after he's jumped up
there, it's got to be his
choice. He does not delight in being carried but is easy to approach and
a cinch to pickup (short term memory loss I imagine). He will not come when called...he will however show up if I'm holding a treat...really
quickly.
He is rarely, if ever, frightened and won't move even when nudged with a running vacuum cleaner.
He is not afraid of heights and has been found numerous times on the
back of the sofa and even on my coffee table.

Sadie laying on top of my coffee table,
relaxing.
Sadie is now a bit of a geriatric bunny in that we
don't often see the flash of lightening that once bolted up and down
the hallway throwing binkies right and left, more than likely due to a slightly
arthritic back.
While I miss the energy of youth, the lazy laid back behavior of
old age means the mischief he provides is not quite as impressive as
it once was.
Scoobie

Tort Holland Lop Buck
Scoobie is one year older than Sadie (born 1999) and has never been
sick a day in his life.
He was living here
alone until Hannah (a pregnant Holland Lop doe) arrived and soon brought the
number of bunnies under my roof to 10...for a short time anyway. It
was love at first sight for Scoobie and Hannah and he made a great
step-father for the babies. Scoobie tolerated everything those
little guys could dish out and never once showed aggression towards
them. He is of course neutered, but you must admit...if you were a
single bun and then... all of a sudden... a doe and her 8 babies
show up, it would probably put your nose out of joint. Not Scoobie.
He is very passive and affectionate towards other rabbits.

Step-dad Scoob, patiently tolerates being
hopped on, pushed around and snuggled up to by the 8 new strangers.
While Scoobie does not give away bunny kisses to us humans, he will
tolerate being held and petted.
Scoobie is what I
would call a trouble free, well behaved bunny. He would
probably be considered down right boring to some pet owners. To me
he's just an all around, low maintenance, super healthy, gentleman
of a rabbit. Not too silly, very gentle, has never bit anybody or
anybunny...not an attention getter unless you're like me, cuz by
know you know.....I luv bunny wabbits!!
Bailey

Broken Blue Tort Holland Lop Buck
Meet the newest edition...Bailey. He had no idea where he was
headed when I took him home and I had no idea what a wonderful new
buddy I was getting. Honestly, I doubt people would
believe the stories I could tell. What a love bunny he turned out to
be...that Tracy sure can pick 'em. >:3 He is even winning the hearts of
non-bunny people.
Bailey was born March 14, 2007 and is a Broken Blue Tort Holland
Lop buck. Isn't he beautiful?
By now you may be starting to see my
propensity towards Holland Lop bucks.
Once again, I personally choose to
go with
Saynora Rabbitry
because of Tracy's sincere love for her rabbits and excellent
breeding.
While she does not breed for the pet industry there are rare
occasions when she has a bunny who is available as a pet.
Read why I decided to buy from a breeder
here.

Bailey has acted very relaxed and laid back since the day we met
him. He took to the litter pan as if he had been pre-trained. By day 4 he had
learned to jump up on the sofa and recliner to greet us. He is unbelievably tame and very
affectionate
(see my Videos page for proof).
Ultimately I decided to bring home a new baby bunny because my boys
are getting up there in age. Although both are currently in
excellent health, should I loose one of them, I do not want the
other to be alone. Besides, adding a bit of young blood might help
liven things up around here! I know I am certainly enjoying daily
Binkyfest and Bunny 500's.
